New Event Focuses on Helping Local Nonprofits Get the Most Out of Tech

Vertical IT Solutions and the Nonprofit Leadership Center of Tampa Bay partner on Wired for Good: Technology for Nonprofit

Tampa, Fla. (June 14, 2010) – For nonprofits, implementing new technologies is not always easy. This is why Vertical IT Solutions has partnered with the Nonprofit Leadership Center of Tampa Bay on Wired for Good: Technology for Nonprofit, taking place Thursday, August 26 at Vertical IT in Tampa.

“Technology can be a valuable tool for nonprofits to improve services, decrease costs, increase donors and accomplish their mission,” said Joel Wonicker-Cook, director of sales at Vertical IT. “However, in order to get the most out of a new technology, your organization must have clear expectations for that technology, budget for it, put a risk management plan in place and be prepared to evolve. This event will provide the information needed to implement a new technology in the most effective way.”

Topics Wired for Good will address include, protecting your organization from data loss, using Microsoft Outlook to its fullest potential and an overview of several inexpensive tools being used by organizations with big missions and small budgets.

Join Vertical IT and the Nonprofit Leadership Center of Tampa Bay for this program that will help nonprofits better align their technology use with their missions and strategic goals, determine the appropriate technology tools to meet those goals and how the technology will be implemented and supported over time.

This event takes place August 26 at 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Cost to attend is $25. Vertical IT offices are located at 6700 Lakeview Center Dr., Suite #130, Tampa. Please RSVP by August 23.
